Ye Fen, male, born in December 1970, Doctor, doctoral supervisor, professor, Professor of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Tianshan Scholars (July 2013-July 2018), Shanghai registered consulting expert, committee member of the Bituminous Materials Committee (BMC) and GI Pavement Committee of American Society of Civil Engineers Construction Institute (ASCE). He graduated from College of Civil Engineering of Tongji University with his bachelor degree in bridge engineering in 1993. Then, he attained both of his master and doctor degree in College of Transportation Engineering, Tongji University and works in Department of Road and Airfield Engineering, Tongji University after his graduation. he received support from China National Scholarship Committee to be a visiting scholar of National Center for Asphalt Technology (NCAT) from August 2005 to August 2006. And he was one of participants of the Sixth Batch of Aid Xinjiang Cadres, academic leader of school of Civil Engineering and Architecture and deputy director of Department of Transportation and Civil Engineering in Xinjiang University during August 2008 to August 2009. He was bestowed title of Outstanding Teacher in offering targeted assistance on education to Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region in 2009, and was also awarded the outstanding individual prize by the ministry of education for his contribution to offering targeted assistance to western colleges and universities on 10th anniversary of the policy of offering assistance, in November 2011.

He has taught and researched for long time. He teaches graduated students in bitumen and bituminous mixtures, Bridge and tunnel pavement, bridge engineering and bridge and culvert hydrology. His researches include study on environmentally friendly and resource-saving asphalt pavement which is low carbon, environmental protection and recyclable, establishment and development technology of bridge and tunnel pavement, and application technology and materials to replace asphalt products.
