主讲人简介:

   Axel Wolfermann is professor for transport planning and traffic engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt, since 2017. He worked for six years as a research associate at Technische Universität Darmstadt and earned 2009 a PhD in signal control with Prof. Dr.-Ing. Manfred Boltze. He worked until 2011 at the University of Tokyo, Advanced Mobility Research Center, and the Traffic Engineering Lab (Hideki Nakamura Lab) of Nagoya University as Postdoctoral Research Fellow. Research included signal timing optimisation, data fusion, and model based safety assessment of signalised intersections. From 2011 to 2017 Axel joined the Institute of Transport Research at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Berlin as research associate and team leader. His main focus at DLR was modelling of commercial transport, assessment of Intelligent Transport Systems and sustainability of traffic. Axel has been member of working groups on commercial transport in the German Road and Transportation Research Association (FGSV) and of Special Interest Groups on Urban Transport Operations and Freight Transport Modelling of the World Conference on Transport Research Society (WCTRS).
