主讲人简介

    宋卫民博士,美国田纳西大学研究助理、博士后,博士毕业于美国田纳西大学。主要研究水泥混凝土以及沥青混凝土路面材料力学性能与耐久性能评价及表征、道砟-轨枕相互作用以及离散单元法和有限单元法在岩土材料中的应用。他发表了多篇JCR一区、二区论文,是6个国际期刊和3个国际会议审稿人。

主讲内容简介

    The pressure distribution under railway sleepers plays a key role in railroad performance. Full-scale laboratory tests were conducted to investigate the pressure distribution underneath a timber sleeper and a steel sleeper under static and dynamic loadings. It is found that pressure distribution is different for steel and timber sleepers. Cyclic loading could change the pressure distribution under both steel and timber sleepers, but the effect of cyclic loading is more obvious on the steel sleeper. A coupling discrete-finite element method (DEM-FEM) was proposed to explore the sleeper-ballast interaction. Surface-coupling algorithm was employed to combine the finite element and discrete element analyses. The porosity of the ballast and the pressure distribution under the sleeper were investigated under the dynamic loading condition. Results from the DEM-FEM modeling and laboratory tests were compared analyzed.
