座谈嘉宾简介：
Professor
Imad Al-Qadi
Introduction
Professor Imad Al-Qadi is Founder Professor of Engineering and Director of
the Advanced Transportation Research and Engineering Laboratory (ATREL) and the
Illinois Center for Transportation (ICT) at the University of Illinois at
Urbana-Champaign.Professor Al-Qadi holds a B.S. (1984) from Yarmouk University
and M.S. (1986) and Ph.D. (1990) degrees from Penn State University, all in
Civil Engineering.Professor Al-Qadi is currently the President of the Board of
Governors of the ASCE Transportation and Development Institute. He is also the
Group Leader of the ISAP Technical Committee on Interlayer Systems.
Research
Interests
Professor Al-Qadi’s teaching, research, and consulting interests and
expertise focus primarily on civil engineering and pavement materials, highway
and airfield pavement mechanics, and advanced modeling; nondestructive testing
evaluation; infrastructure asset management systems; interlayer system testing
and modeling; transportation infrastructure instrumentation and full- scale
accelerated testing; polymerized asphalt rheology; and forensic engineering and
arbitration.

Serji N. Amirkhanian
Introduction
Dr.
Serji N. Amirkhanian was the Mays Professor of Transportation and the Director
of the Asphalt Rubber Technology Services in the Department of Civil
Engineering at Clemson University until June of 2010. He is a Professor of Civil Engineering at the
University of Alabama. He is also a Guest Professor at Wuhan University of
Technology and an Adjunct Faculty at IIT Madras (India). He is the Co-Director
of the International Recycled Rubber Products Initiative at University of
Nevada Las Vega (UNLV). The total dollar amount of his research has exceeded
$22 million. He has been involved with
many field projects all over the world (e.g., Canada, Honduras, Vietnam, China,
Poland, and many states around the country). His research has resulted in over
110 refereed journal papers and over 150 conference papers and research
reports. He has also published two book chapters in addition of presenting over
300 presentations in the US and around the world.

materials, scrap tire recycling, rubberized asphalt, pavement preservation, and
pavement management.
