Research interests
Transportation system is a complex system involving people and goods as the principle part to be moved, vehicles, transportation facilities, transportation environment, traffic rules and transportation information. Transportation Engineering is the application of technology and scientific principles to reveal the features of system to solve traffic problems.
In face of current traffic problems in China, we concern about the significant impacts of automated-connected vehicles and big data on traditional traffic system. We mainly work on the fields of traffic flow theory and simulation at micro-mesoscopic level, focusing on the reveal of behavioral mechanism and operational rules of complex traffic flows, aiming to build a theoretical framework of experimental traffic engineering, make innovation on using existing simulation tools and develop next-generation traffic simulation system.
