Banksy - An anonymous England-based street artist.

On 5th October 2018, one of Banksy’s artwork “Girl with Balloon” was sold in an auction at Sotheby's in London. However, shortly after the gavel dropped and it was sold the picture “self-destructed”.

At the same time Banksy uploaded a video clip to his Instagram captioned “Going, going, gone…”. This move caused a great sensation in the art auction industry.

People started calling him the “Dark Knight” and praised his counterattack on the art auction market and the madness he created in the auction event.

“Girl with Balloon” depicting a young girl with her hand extended toward a red heart-shaped balloon carried away by the wind. At first it was painted on the street walls of Shoreditch in London.

The work of this mysterious artist will be exhibited in Taiwan this month! And I was fortunate enough to visited his exhibition at Moco Museum in Amsterdam last June.
